Hybrid Phone Systems

Rhode Island Telephone installs and services Hybrid Phone systems for customers located in Rhode Island ( RI ), Massachusetts ( MA ), Connecticut ( CT ) and other New England states.

Hybrid phone systems are a combination of traditional PBX systems & VoIP PBX systems.
These systems are typically designed as Traditional Platforms with the ability to layer on VoIP either immediately or in the future.
Typical candidates for a Hybrid system are:

• Companies that have a poorly designed computer network that would not be suitable for running a VoIP system.
• Companies trying to reuse existing digital/analog handsets to reduce cost.
• Companies hesitant to go 100% VoIP because of a “traditional” company culture

All of our Hybrid phone systems are capable of adding VoIP either now or in the future. From a financial perspective, it’s more economical to go with a Hybrid solution if you do not want any VoIP functionality, but it’s cheaper to go with a pure VoIP system up front rather than adding it on to a Hybrid system later on.
